Sergio & Sofia

These two seniors spent a lifetime of loyalty on the lap of their human.  They were so well loved, that when their person fell upon health issues that took him in and out of the hospital, they were home alone and sad until their dog walker came a few times a day to attend to them.  That loving dog walker & friend facilitated an introduction to see if our rescue could help them transition into foster and eventual permanent loving homes.  Their human was so relieved that his babies were safe and loved, and the fur babies are thriving with much more interaction and activity now.

Max

Picture
A classic case of getting a puppy at the wrong time......Maximus was purchased by a young couple with a toddler and another baby on the way.  By their own account, they created a bit of a mess.  When I met Max for the first time, I thought that ball of raging fur and teeth just might break through the sliding glass door to give me a closer look at the whites of his eyes.  He was an aggressive mess and his people were now scared of this boy, due to not training him from the beginning.  This  2-year old was big, strong, out of control, and scary.  He was scheduled to be humanely euthanized because his people didn't know what else could be done.  They connected with our awesome trainer, Huffman K-9 Obedience and Jensen, the owner, recommended they speak with us about surrendering him to our rescue.  We worked together with his people to get him neutered, start training and we successfully turned this boy around with loving leadership.  He is happily adopted to a young man who runs him daily, continues his training, and allows him to run on a beautifully fenced 5 acres in the country.  Maximus now smiles, plays with his fur friend "Heff" and has a contentment that he deserves.

Jasper

Picture
This bright-eyed boy went from being a Facebook/Insta-star in a tux at his owners wedding to surrendered and listed as un-adoptable by the shelter due to aggression... all by age 2.
Luckily, his original breeder in Maryland found us online and reached out to see if we could work with him.
After 3 days, we determined he likely was experiencing symptoms related to his diet.  We added some hormone balancing foods to his diet like ground turkey and sardines and now he is a complete love-bug and a permanent "camp counselor" here at the ranch.  He takes his job very seriously to help show other dogs what it looks like to get happily to the other side of bad behavior.

Anna

Picture
Do you see the 5 smiles in this photo??  THIS is why we do what we do!
Anna's people didn't have much time to give her and she found herself alone in the backyard an awful lot.  Luckily, they reached out to us for assistance in helping place her in a loving home that had time to devote to her.

Now Anna has a "queen bee" status in her new family.  She goes on PNW adventures with the family and dotes on her "littles" and is so proud to do it.  The joy she has and has given to this family is the epitome of what makes it all worth it to us! THIS is our "why"...
